e-Tourist visa
India
Indian e-Tourist visa for 30 days, one year or five years, allowing up to 180 days of stay per year.
- Processing time
- 3-7 days
- Cost of service
- from $149
The Indian e-Visa comes in three validity options — 30 days, one year and five years. The stay allowance is the same across all of them: up to 180 days per year.
The price gap between options is small, which makes the five-year visa the better buy almost whenever the trip is not a one-off. For $249 you settle the question for five years.
Processing is fast: 3–4 days for the shorter options, 5–7 for the five-year. With one caveat: if immigration runs a check, processing stretches to 10–12 days, and there is no way to predict that in advance.
Why applying from Indonesia helps
- Filing is entirely electronic; presence in your country of citizenship is not required
- Your status in Indonesia establishes settled residence on the form
- Fast processing fits well around trips made from an Asian hub
Documents
- Passport valid at least 6 months
- Colour photograph to specification
- Proof of status in Indonesia
- Booking confirmation and return ticket
